US profiteer sick care system has been impressive in its ability to cultivate Obesity, childhood diabetes,?
Catastrophic medical conditions, Heart attacks, cancer, etc for three times the cost of a good HEALTH CARE system.
Is there no American citizen out there who wants a National Health Care Systen which promotes and educates to achieve a healthy society.
It would seem that the intelligent question is not how will we afford to treat all the future sick people but how do we keep our society as healthy as possible. It just seems like a no brainer.
That’s why the World Health Organization ranks us #37 in health care.

There is plenty of education out there on diet, excercise, prevention, etc. Those who are smart follow it. Universal health care is quite different. It is about redistribution of income and services.

It’s not the health care. American Health Care is the best health care in the world.
American’s are the unhealthiest, not because of access to health care, but because of the lifestyle.
We don’t walk, we drive. We don’t push our lawnmowers, we drive them. We eat foods that would feed us for two days in one sandwich, and call that a snack.
Why do you think the number one killer in the US is heart disease? It’s not health care, it’s lifestyle, and a national health care program doesn’t fix that.

I do, and I think it starts by promoting a healthy diet, both at home and at school. Many American Families are headed by a working mom, or by 2 working parents who do not have time to cook a healthy meal for their children. The result is that children are giving money to eat at fast food restaurants like Mc Donalds, Burger King etc. Parent must stop this practice. Also physical fitness should be mandatory for all children K-12.

Um – no one *forces* anyone to eat crap all day long. The reason Americans are fat and our kids have diabetes is because our diets SUCK. Over processed and over sugared foods….
I grow my own veggies, eat game whenever possible, have laying hens and a friend is raising a pig for me. (I’d end up w/a pet pig.) I don’t eat very much white flour, but sugar…I’m a total addict and freely admit it.
And, frankly, if you’re too stupid to figure out that you shouldn’t pump your kids full of sodas, chips, Fruit Loops, etc., that’s really not anyone else’s problem. Combine that with the fact that most kids these days are little vidiots, and no wonder they’re fat and diabetic. Feed them healthy foods and get them out to exercise, for pity’s sake!

Further, such information and ‘educational opportunities’ are already being provided in all public schools. How’s that working out given your statistic.
People will do, eat and live how they want. National Health Care wont’ change that a bit. It’ll only force folks like ME to pay for THEIR health care when their fat butt has a heart attack. Get it? Tax ME so THEY can have FREE health care. Sorry. I’ve got enough dependents already. Don’t need a million more.
